La Doncella

The mummy "La Doncella" or "The Maiden" sits on display at the High Mountain Archeological Museum in Salta, Argentina. She was about 15 years old when she and her two children died as human sacrifices to Gods by the Incas more than 500 years ago on the top of the Llullaillaco volcano.

Maioush: I know, but it's amazing how the mummy managed to stay intact all this time.

Kinzi: Whew..yes! :)

This would be interesting to see in person, though a part of me is kind of creeped out at viewing dead bodies. But it is amazing to see such a well preserved dead person from so long ago. Kind of like touching the past.
